Breathing new life into a classic 1970′s beach house on the south coast of New South Wales.

S2F has merged with global consulting group SKM.

These are some of the S2F projects that now come under the SKM banner.

I continue in my role as Design Director. In SKM ‘speak’ my title is ‘Practice Leader of Architecture and Interiors’.

On an iconic site next to Doyle’s restaurant, built from reclaimed bridge timbers, this home has just been completed.

The artiste currently known as ‘David Sequeira’ has asked me to assist him in attaching an exhibiton space to his home in Canberra.

David is a great friend and this project promises to be one of the more colorful we’re currently considering.

Curved in plan and with cedar weatherboards fixed vertically, this new Sydney home is the result of an initial design collaboration with Melbourne architect Shelley Penn.

Builder Scott Moulds, won a NSW HIA award for his excellent work.

The Australian Architects Association selected this house as part of their 2006 Northern Beaches Tour.

This home in Barwon Heads, Victoria, is built from a mixture of reclaimed timber and profiled hardwood weatherboards.

Andrew Murray and Robyn Barlow were the landscape designers.

Located on a steep site near the Bega River in NSW.

The house has serious bushfire protection controls, so it’s primarily built of concrete and colored fibre cement sheet.

Its nearest neighbours are lyrebirds, wallabies, sea eagles and a wombat!

A homage to 1970′s Australian beach houses and overlooking the Tasman Sea.

This house won the NSW MBA award for Alan Simpson in 2005.

Andrew Murray was responsible for the landscape. Steve Jory manufactured the windows and all joinery.

‘House for Pam’ is named so in honour of my wife.

The external cladding is timber reclaimed (oregon) from the ceilings of a tyre factory built in Sydney in the 1940′s.

Bill Hollick and Andrew Murray were responsible for the special paint finishes. Steve and Trevor Jory manufactured the windows from reclaimed hardwood.
